According to rumors, Nigerian central defender Tosin Adarabioyo has rejected a move to Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
According to the Sun UK, citing Foot Mercato, Tosin has turned down a transfer to Tottenham from Fulham, despite the Cottagers‘ best efforts.
Tottenham are interested in signing Tosin to improve their defensive ranks, but this publication can disclose that Tosin favours a transfer to French Ligue 1 club Monaco and has applied for a Nigerian passport, which means he will not be considered a non-EU player if his proposed move to Monaco goes through.
According to a French source, Fulham has asked agents to send the Manchester City academy product to Tottenham Hotspur.
Tosin has not played in Fulham‘s pre-season games, prompting rumors that he is not in manager Marco Silva‘s plans for the next season and that a move is on the cards.
Fulham are ready to trade him this summer to prevent losing him on a free transfer at the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season, since he has less than a year remaining on his contract.
Tosin has made 107 appearances in all competitions since joining Craven Cottage in 2020, scoring three goals, one in the Premier League and two in the Championship.
