The Tottenham star won’t be able to play against Hearts in the pre-season game

Tottenham Hotspur hopes that before the new season begins, every one of their players will be at the top of their game.

Football London, however, notes that because of his continued injury recuperation, left-back Destiny Udogie will be absent for Spurs’ next pre-season friendly against Hearts.
After surgery the previous season, Udogie is still recovering and will be going through his rehabilitation.

The Tottenham team has resumed practicing in front of their friendly matchup with Hearts as the pre-season progresses.

But in order to concentrate on his recuperation and get back to full fitness, the Italian full-back will not be available for the match.

On August 16, 2022, Udogie signed a permanent contract with Tottenham Hotspur worth €20 million through 2027. He was loaned back to Udinese for the 2022–2023 season after the deal.

After making his Tottenham debut the previous season, he rapidly established himself as one of the league’s top left-backs, demonstrating his promise and ability. As a result, the contract was extended until 2030.

Regretfully, surgery on his left quadriceps in April 2024 ended his outstanding rookie season with the Spurs.

Udogie’s exceptional play earned him a nomination for the Premier League Young Player of the Season Award in spite of this setback.

In 28 Premier League games during his rookie season, the 21-year-old defender recorded two goals and three assists.

As Udogie continues his recuperation, supporters of Tottenham will be hoping for a quick recovery and his ability to play a major role in the team’s success next season.
