The ‘verbal agreement’ to sign a Tottenham player is ‘complete,’ with a speedy transfer still an option.

Eric Dier was reportedly connected with a move to Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.

It was considered that the player was not in Ange Postecoglou‘s plans, and hence a departure from Spurs, where his contract expires in June, was seen as a real possibility.

The German media portrayed it as a suggestion from Harry Kane at the time. Because the two were close during their time together at Tottenham, Dier was considered as someone who could help Kane settle in after his departure from Spurs.

The England captain did not require such assistance, but Dier is once again being connected with Bayern Munich, this time quite aggressively. Given that the Bundesliga club has been hunting for a player who can play both defensive midfielder and central defender, Dier is thought to be an option.

Given that Dier’s Tottenham contract expires in a few months, Sky Deutschland believes the sum would be less than €5 million.
A’verbal agreement’ that is ‘complete’ is stated to exist, with the implication that all parties concerned agree on the details of a transfer.

Even if Thomas Tuchel is rumoured to have spoken with Dier, this transfer is far from certain.

While the deal appears to be a foregone conclusion given the circumstances, Sky Deutschland makes an attempt to stress that it is a transfer Bayern is evaluating, as well as other options.
