‘They are extremely strong,’ says Plymouth boss about Leeds United’s squad.

Steven Schumacher, manager of Plymouth Argyle, believes Leeds United are a ‘great’ team and is concerned about the attacking threat they will pose on Saturday.

Schumacher spoke to Plymouth Live during his pre-match press conference ahead of Argyle’s trip to Elland Road tomorrow, where he discussed Daniel Farke‘s team.

Plymouth are still looking for their first away win since their promotion from League One, but they will surely represent a significant threat to Leeds.

Only Leicester City and Ipswich Town have scored more goals than Argyle this season, however they have struggled at the opposite end.

Plymouth have conceded 25 goals in their first 15 games and will need to reverse that if they are to win on Friday, as Leeds have one of, if not the, greatest attacking options in the division.

Schumacher is concerned about the attacking threat posed by Leeds.

Speaking ahead of the game, Schumacher praised Leeds‘ performance in last Friday’s win over Leicester, and knows his team must be at their best to ‘contain’ the attacking danger.

“They’re so strong,” he remarked. They’re in fantastic shape. Everyone wanted to see that game against Leicester, and they were amazing, but they’ve been good for a while.

“We have to try to be as organised as possible, contain their forward players, and as always, just be us, be brave, and try to have a go.” I believe that’s our greatest option: get out in front and see what happens.”

Leeds should be confident going into Saturday’s game, but they can’t afford to be since Plymouth can damage any team in this league.

However, it appears that Plymouth will not come to Elland Road and sit back. This might be a game that suits Farke’s side.

This should allow Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter to play, which is a promising development for Leeds.
