Thierry Henry believes Manchester City will win the Premier League title this season, defeating his previous club Arsenal and Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta‘s side extended their unbeaten record with a 6-0 victory at Bramall Lane Wednesday night.
Arsenal’s victory reduced the gap to two points over Jurgen Klopp‘s Liverpool with 11 games remaining.
The Gunners are only one point behind Manchester City, with Liverpool presently leading the way.
Pep Guardiola’s side also won comfortably 3-1 over Manchester United on Sunday, while the Reds fought to the end against Nottingham Forest.
And, despite winning seven consecutive Premier League games, Thierry Henry believes City will win the title over Arsenal.
Henry says City are still ‘the ones to beat‘.
Henry gave his thoughts on the title battle on Monday Night Football, following Arsenal‘s thrashing of Sheffield United last night.
“Everyone knows where my heart will go. “I want Arsenal to win the league, but I still believe City are the team to beat,” the Gunners icon stated.
Arsenal are now the most in-form team in the league. Arteta‘s men have scored a stunning 31 goals in their past seven victories.
However, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal can continue this level of performance in the latter stages of the season.
As for Liverpool, they continue to pick up great results and face a major meeting with City.
There are some big games ahead, including Arsenal‘s trip to the Etihad Stadium later this month.
This year’s championship race appears to be a memorable one, with three great teams vying for the title.
It’s impossible to overlook City because they consistently find their finest form at the appropriate time. But Arsenal are showing no signs of slowing down, and Liverpool will be anxious for domestic success in Klopp‘s last months at the club.
