Three Championship games for Leeds United have been rescheduled for the next months. Two of those games have been chosen for live transmission by Sky Sports, with Leeds’ trips to Rotherham United and Sunderland now having new dates.

The journey to New York Stadium was initially scheduled for Saturday, November 25, but it has been moved up a day, with the game filling the Friday night Football League slot on Sky Sports. The game versus Rotherham will now begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, November 24.

United’s trip to the North East will now take place on Tuesday, December 12 at 8 p.m., after being selected as the featured game in midweek. Given the two sides’ present places in the Championship table and both sides’ chances of promotion, the game promises to be exciting.

The third game has been rescheduled due to Lancashire Police advise, with Leeds United’s trip to Blackburn Rovers on December 9 now starting at 12:45pm rather than 3pm. That game has not been chosen for television, but it will mean an earlier start for those fans planning to go across the Pennines.

Leeds have been a popular pick for broadcasters this season, with Sky Sports televising forthcoming trips to Stoke City and Leicester City. The changes made this afternoon have an impact on what appears to be a pivotal run of fixtures leading up to the festive period, with Leeds playing 10 games in six and a half weeks, beginning with the match at Rotherham at the end of next month’s international break and concluding with the visit of Birmingham City on New Year’s Day.
