Tottenham: Alejo Veliz will join Sevilla on loan as Spurs await Lucas Bergvall’s decision.
Alejo Veliz has been promised regular minutes in La Liga, and Spurs are working on a summer deal for the Swedish wonderkid.
Tottenham striker Alejo Veliz is heading to Spain to have a medical before joining La Liga club Sevilla on loan until the end of the season.
Spurs have decided to let the 20-year-old Argentine leave after receiving assurances that he will get game time in Spain. There is no option to purchase under the agreement.
Veliz has yet to start for Spurs since joining from Argentine club Rosario Central in the summer, and Dane Scarlett’s return from a loan spell at Ipswich might push the Argentina youth international down the pecking order in Ange Postecoglou‘s side.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are still waiting for Swedish wonderkid Lucas Bergvall to pick between them and Barcelona, but a deal does not have to be finalised by today’s 11 p.m deadline.
Spurs have struck a contract with Djurgardens worth roughly £8.5 million that will see the 17-year-old midfielder join in the summer, so Bergvall is under no rush to make a decision now.
Bergvall visited Tottenham’s training ground on Monday but was in Barcelona last night, with both teams vying for the teenager.
