Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, and two other undisclosed Premier League clubs are allegedly among the leading contenders for Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips in a January deal.
According to Gazzetta, Phillips is looking for a new club because he is no longer in Pep Guardiola‘s plans at Manchester City.

This information is consistent with a previous rumour claiming that Tottenham Hotspur, along with Newcastle, will face stiff competition from Juventus for Phillips.

This could pose a problem for Tottenham Hotspur, particularly when competing with teams like as Newcastle and Juventus, where he may have a better chance of regular first-team participation.
Spurs now have Yves Bissouma, Pape Sarr, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg vying for the position of holding midfielder.
Phillips may benefit from moving abroad in order to get a real fresh start, thus a move to Juventus, where he will not have to compete for a starting berth, may be preferable.
