Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are interested in signing OGC Nice player Jean-Clair Todibo, according to a report from France.
Earlier this month, RMC Sport revealed that Spurs value the centre-back’s profile. They are not alone, as Chelsea and Napoli are also pursuing transfers.
Téléfoot reports that Tottenham, Chelsea, and the Serie A winners have all spoken with the 24-year-old’s entourage.
Ange Postecoglou’s team strengthened their defence by signing Radu Drăgușin earlier this month, but that hasn’t stopped them from contacting Todibo’s camp.
The France international has made 15 appearances this season and has been a crucial player for the Ligue 1 club. His contract runs until 2027, and the source states that Nice has no plans to break ways with him in the winter market.
If the former Barcelona player continues to excel for the French club, Téléfoot claims in another post on X that he might become the ‘largest sell’ in Nice’s history.
There is no indication of the fee that Nice may get from the player’s sale in the future. In 2018, they sold Jean Michaël Seri to Fulham for €30 million, setting their current record sale.
