Tottenham were said to be very close to reaching an agreement with Galatasaray for the sale of Davinson Sánchez earlier on Monday.
Daniel Levy and company were thought to be extremely close to agreeing on a cost of roughly €8 million, with the Turkish side seeking to pay in installments.
The newest update from Turkey on the Tottenham exodus comes from Sports Digitale journalist Yaz Sabuncuolu, who revealed the news on Twitter.
He believes that Galatasaray and Tottenham have’reached an agreement’ for the Colombian defender’s transfer for €9 million.
Given that the two clubs were extremely close at €8m yesterday night and this morning, the fact that they have agreed for only €1m fits with our theory that Daniel Levy was trying to get as much as he could for the player.
With that in place, and prior claims that the defender had already signed personal terms, the transaction is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day, in time for Galatasaray to register him in their Champions League squad.
