Tottenham have just held talks about recruiting a £100 million player who plays similarly to Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur have considered signing Brentford’s Ivan Toney in the January transfer window.

The Englishman is anticipated to be a wanted man when he is eligible to play again after serving his punishment next month. He is a wonderful talent who would fit in perfectly with Tottenham.

Ivan Toney has the potential to become Tottenham’s new Harry Kane.

We’re not saying Ivan Toney is on the same level as Harry Kane, but the Tottenham-linked Brentford attacker does have some similarities.

Like Kane, the 27-year-old is a clinical finisher in front of goal, but he can also drop deep and link things up. He’s also good in the air, and Arsenal player Declan Rice has already compared him to the Bayern Munich man.

Toney would be an excellent Kane replacement at Tottenham, but whether they can afford him next month is unknown.
