Tottenham Hotspur have done an excellent job of signing young players in recent years.
Destiny Udogie, Pape Sarr, and Dejan Kulusevski have all developed into absolute stars since joining Tottenham as young players, and more could be on the way.
Indeed, Lucas Bergvall is set to join Spurs this summer, while Luka Vuskovic has an agreement in place to join Tottenham whenever he reaches the required age.
However, Tottenham‘s young recruitment will not stop there.
Tottenham begin talks to sign Antonio Nusa.
According to VoetbalKrant, Tottenham have begun talks about signing Antonio Nusa this summer.
The Norwegian has already been hailed as ‘one of the most brilliant wingers around’, and Spurs are making their move following further good displays in Belgium.
Of course, this is not the first time Tottenham has pursued Nusa. They were in early talks over a transaction in January, but things didn’t proceed as planned.
Antonio Nusa‘s contract may not be easy.
Tottenham have started talks to sign Nusa, but completing the deal may be tougher said than done.
Indeed, as much as Nusa may be tempted by a move to Tottenham, we must remember that in January, he chose to join Brentford over Spurs before an underlying injury derailed the deal.
Nusa clearly wants to join a club where he will be assured game time in order to advance his career, and little has changed at Tottenham since he rejected them in January.
Spurs, very simply, cannot offer Nusa the gametime he seeks, and while negotiations about this signing are ongoing, we wouldn’t be surprised if the winger chose to join a team like Brentford once the transfer window opens again.
Nusa is definitely a player to keep an eye on coming into the summer.
