Tottenham injury update: latest news and comeback dates for Rodrigo Bentancur, Brennan Johnson, and Manor Solomon

Ange Postecoglou is likely to receive a significant boost as a midfielder nears a return to Spurs.

Tottenham enters the international break at the top of the Premier League table.

It’s been a fantastic start to the season under Ange Postecoglou, with a huge improvement in both performances and results quickly lifting the morale at the club.

Postecoglou still has problems to deal with, as Yves Bissouma is suspended following his red card. During his tenure, he has also not had the opportunity to deploy players like as Rodrigo Bentancur or Ryan Sessegnon.

Rodrigo Bentancur
Rodrigo Bentancur’s recovery from an ACL injury suffered in February continues.

The midfielder has been seen taking part in first-team training, but only for warm-up exercises, and Spurs are wary of rushing Bentancur and risking a setback.

Postecoglou has confirmed that his return is still scheduled for November.

Brennan Johnson
Brennan Johnson has been out for several weeks due to a hamstring injury sustained in the north London derby last month.

He missed the trip to Luton on Saturday and will not be available for international duty with Wales, but Postecoglou is sure that the forward will be ready to go after the break.

“Brennan Johnson is close, but he’s not quite 100%, and with the international break, we’re kind of hoping he’ll get that time during that to be available straight after,” Spurs manager stated before of the Luton game.

Solomon Manor had surgery on his right knee last week after injuring his meniscus in training, according to Tottenham.

No specific timetable for his comeback has been provided, but the forward is expected to be out for at least a few months and is unlikely to play a significant role for the club before the end of the year.

Ivan Perisic
The club announced last month that Ivan Perisic had “suffered a complex Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury in his right knee.”

He is anticipated to miss the rest of the season, and with his Spurs contract ending next summer, the 34-year-old may have played his final game for the club.

 Ryan Sessegnon
Ryan Sessegnon, like Bentancur, has been out since February.

The left-back had hamstring surgery over the summer and has yet to return, although he has begun light training while he recovers.

That remains to be seen, with a return to first-team training unlikely.
