Tottenham is suddenly surprisingly receptive to a January exit deal for Spurs players. Club moves for him ‘not to be entirely excluded’

As previously stated on Tuesday, Fiorentina has been forced to revert to trying to get Bryan Gil from Tottenham after their attempt to sign Cyril Ngonge was thwarted by Napoli.

Spurs‘ Spaniard was a target for the Serie A club before they turned their focus to the Hellas Verona player, but he is now on his way to the south of Italy, where they still need to strengthen their team on the flanks.

Now, Fiorentina relays La Nazione.It confirms previous statements, stating that a transfer for Tottenham’s Gil ‘is not to be fully excluded’.

One of the reasons, and this is where the surprise lies, is that the Premier League club would be willing to ‘close even in front of a paid loan’.

This contradicts prior reports, which stated that Tottenham were always hesitant to offer the winger a short loan.

He has already been loaned out to other clubs in Spain with differing degrees of success, and it seems that Spurs would rather have him gone permanently or have him around as a backup than aid another club for a few months and receive virtually little in return.

As we approach the end of the January transfer window, this is one to watch.
