Tottenham Hotspur are apparently hoping to re-sign Kyle Walker-Peters at the end of the season.
Graeme Bailey recently told The Spurs News that the 26-year-old versatile full-back is on Tottenham‘s radar, and the club could look to bring him back. They have included a repurchase clause in his contract, and they may sign him for £30 million at the end of the season.
According to a report from Football London, Tottenham must register four club-trained players in the 25-man List A squad under UEFA criteria. However, they currently only have Oliver Skipp, Brandon Austin, and Alfie Whiteman as alternatives. As a result, they need to add another club-trained player, and Walker-Peters clearly meets the bill.
The 26-year-old defender is now at Southampton, and the possibility to return to the top flight will be fantastic for him. Returning to his boyhood club will be an added incentive for the player.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham are willing to pay £30 million for him at the end of this season. The North London club already has players like Emerson Royal and Pedro Porro on their roster. Signing another right-back without selling someone would be unusual, especially given their other objectives.
