Tottenham Hotspur are having a successful season of transition after Ange Postecoglou cleaned house from the outset.
Spurs finished eighth last season, staggering to the finish line without a permanent manager.
Some Tottenham fans were concerned about what would happen in the summer and the upcoming season, but things have really gone extremely well.
Postecoglou has been a revelation at Spurs, quickly turning things around and transforming them into viable title contenders at one stage.
With eight league games remaining, Tottenham remains solidly in contention for a top-four finish, and the future seems promising for the Lilywhites.
Next summer, Postecoglou is likely to clean house by getting rid of players who haven’t performed well or don’t fit the manager’s style.
Tottenham are apparently looking to offload someone for £4.3 million.
One of these is Tanguy Ndombele, Tottenham‘s record signing to this day, but his career at the club has not gone as planned.
Tottenham signed the Frenchman for £63 million in 2019, but he has only made 91 appearances and has been loaned out three times.
Ndombele is currently with Galatasaray, although he has struggled to make an impression and must make do with coming off the bench.
According to Takvim, Tottenham has given the Turkish league leaders the opportunity to sign the 27-year-old for approximately £59 million less than they paid for him.
Galatasaray allegedly has the option to sign Ndombele permanently for €15 million (£12.8 million), but they appear unwilling to activate this privilege.
With that in mind, Tottenham reportedly approached the Turkish giants and stated that they are willing to accept only €5 million (£4.3 million).
However, Gala is reported to have reacted ‘coldly’ to this offer.
Ndombele joined Tottenham with much hoopla, but things haven’t gone well for him there.
The Lilywhites do not appear to be having much success in moving him along either.
Lyon and Napoli, where he went on loan, did not appear interested in signing him permanently, and neither does Gala.
Ndombele’s contract, reportedly at £200,000 per week, goes until the summer of 2025.
Given the current situation, it is not surprising that Spurs will continue to pay for it until it expires.
