Djed Spence of Tottenham Hotspur will shortly join Genoa, according to several Italian publications.
The 23-year-old was on loan at Leeds United for the first part of the season, but Spurs are now transferring him to Serie A.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the defender arrived in the Italian city late Wednesday to join Genoa on loan.
On Thursday morning, the former Middlesbrough player will undergo medical testing before signing a deal with the Italian club. He has been included in the deal that will see Genoa‘s Radu Drăgușin join Tottenham for €25 million plus €6 million bonuses.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Genoa is’ready to welcome’ the Tottenham player, who will fill the vacuum left by Silvan Hefti‘s move to Marseille this month.
They also claim the fullback is in the Italian city, with medical appointments’ scheduled’ for Thursday morning. According to TMW, Spence will join Genoa on loan with a €10 million buyout option.
Spence missed over two months of the season due to injury, and as a result, he only appeared in seven games for Leeds.
