Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly going to step up their efforts to capture Liverpool target and Bournemouth star Lloyd Kelly this summer, according to Football Insider.
Despite approaching the end of his current contract, the 25-year-old has yet to sign a new one. So, the Cherries are currently in danger of losing their star player for free.
As a result, it appears that Tottenham and Liverpool are attempting to sign Kelly by taking advantage of his current circumstances. According to Football Insider, Bournemouth has made many propositions to Kelly to sign an extension, but he has not accepted any of them.
According to the source, Liverpool is interested in signing the defender, but Tottenham is seeking to outbid the Reds by initiating formal conversations with the player’s representation about a possible summer transfer. So it appears that Tottenham are currently ahead of the Reds in this race.
In addition to Liverpool and Tottenham, Football Insider reports that Newcastle United, AC Milan, Juventus, and numerous German clubs are interested in Kelly’s services.

Ange Postecoglou like to put a left-footed defender on the left side of the defence. However, the Australian coach has no other option than Micky van de Ven to do so.
Although Postecoglou utilised Ben Davies in this position this season while Van de Ven was unavailable, the Welshman is not a specialist centre-back. So, signing a new defender to give depth to the centre-back position would be the correct decision, and Kelly may be a wise choice.
Liverpool, on the other hand, are apparently looking to acquire a new defender to replace Joel Matip, who is nearing the end of his current deal and might depart for free this summer.
Kelly, who stands 6ft 3in tall, is a versatile player who has the attributes of a centre-back but can also play as a left-back. He is quick, strong, good in the air, comfortable playing out of the back, makes efficient defensive contributions, and reads the game well.
