Tottenham are currently facing a defensive crisis.
Cristian Romero is suspended, as is Destiny Udogie, Micky Van de Ven is injured, and Ben Davies is questionable.
Unfortunately, Tottenham‘s situation does not appear to be improving, and speaking on Off The Ball, Martin Lipton provided another concerning update for the club.
Indeed, according to Lipton, Pedro Porro missed Tottenham’s training session a few days ago, which is extremely concerning.
Porro did not attend training.
Lipton revealed his knowledge of the £39 million defender.
“They have some options in midfield, but there are none at the back.” Porro missed training the other day, so who knows what they’ll do if he’s not there. “I think it’ll be Porro-Emerson-Dier and Ben Davies if he’s fit, but if he’s not, Emerson will have to play left-back and Phillips will probably come in,” Lipton said.
bare skeletons
If Porro is unavailable this weekend, Tottenham will be seriously depleted.
If Porro is ruled out, Tottenham will be without a single member of their first-choice back four, forcing them to field a shaky defence.
Spurs’ backup options are also limited at the moment, with Ryan Sessegnon, Ivan Perisic, and Ben Davies all out or doubtful for this weekend, and we have no idea what this Tottenham defence will look like if Porro is also out.
One thing is certain: Wolves will be licking their lips ahead of this weekend’s game against Spurs, as they may struggle to put together a competent backline in this game.
