“Very far from reality”: Leeds United fans’ desperation to avoid relegation and their growing disgust over the transfer scandal

He only recently started back to training after suffering from an ankle ailment following a viral infection at the beginning of the year. Although the midfielder might be able to play this weekend, Manuel Pelligrini’s team no longer values him.

It’s interesting to note that the sports daily for the Seville area, Estadio Deportivo, has since stated that it’s “almost 100% ruled out” that Betis will exercise their €12 million purchase option.

As part of the loan negotiations, that amount was agreed upon with Leeds United, but it is “very far from the current reality” of Betis. In essence, there’s a very slim chance that they will pay.

Rather, they are wishing with crossed fingers and toes that Leeds United does not receive a promotion. Roca’s contract permits him to go on loan once more if the Whites win the championship.
