‘Very intriguing…’Clive Allen replies to what Heung Min-Son said this week

Tottenham veteran Clive Allen has been previewing tonight’s match against Nottingham Forest and has expressed astonishment at some statements made by Heung-Min Son.

Last week, the new Tottenham captain was in terrific form against Newcastle, scoring from the penalty spot in a 4-1 victory.

After the game, ‘Sonny’ disclosed that he’d been practicing penalties with former Tottenham Hotspur player Harry Kane for some time. Kane was, of course, the frequent spot-kick taker who rarely missed.

And, speaking to Tottenham‘s official channels before tonight’s game against Forest, club icon Clive Allen admitted he was startled by what Son had to say.

“I found it very interesting later on that he practiced a lot with Harry.” He was adamant about taking the penalty kick. When Harry was here, he obviously took our penalties, but it appears like Sonny is now more than capable,” Allen said.

Son will be hoping for more chances to score against Forest tonight. Tottenham will be confident of a win despite Steve Cooper’s side’s terrible form.

Many people believed that Harry Kane leaving Tottenham would be a dreadful situation for everyone.

But, just a few months later, it appears to have been a blessing for a few Spurs players.

Yes, Ange Postecoglou deserves a lot of praise. However, guys like Son have been exceptional in their own right, which is due to the person himself.

Son is currently Tottenham’s top dog. There is absolutely no doubt about that.

Right now, he’s one of Europe’s most in-form players, and on current form, the Spurs star would fit into any other team’s starting lineup.

Tottenham will be looking for more of the same from their top player tonight.
