Leeds boss Daniel Farke thought the Whites played much better in the second half. However, speaking to LUTV, the German admitted that the Blues were far more clinical, which helped the home side win the game.
Chelsea‘s victory means they will face Leicester City at Stamford Bridge in the competition’s quarterfinal.
Mauricio Pochettino‘s side will be anxious to advance in the FA Cup after losing in the Carabao Cup the previous weekend.
According to Farke, Chelsea‘s clinical advantage led to their victory over Leeds.
Following his team’s defeat, the former Norwich City manager stated: “In the second half, we were all over them, with so much possession, more shots, more shots on target, and more predicted goals.
“They were a bit more clinical so for that we have to say congratulations, that’s down to individual quality.”
Last night, there was some excellent finishing, with Nicolas Jackson, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Gallagher all scoring brilliantly.
If the Blues can keep their cool and accurate shots in the box, they may be able to climb the table.
Chelsea has lacked a cutting edge in attack for much of the season, which is why they are currently ranked 11th.
