Why Bukayo Saka and Son Heung-min met up days before Arsenal vs Tottenham derby amid fan fury

It’s north London derby week, but that hasn’t stopped Arsenal star Bukayo Saka and Tottenham captain Son Heung-Min meeting up.

It’s North London Derby week, and fans are getting ready to put their club loyalty on the line for three points and, maybe most importantly, bragging rights. It’s a match that might feature the best of Arsenal and Tottenham for the first time in a long time, setting up an intriguing tie.

After sustaining a title challenge last season, the Gunners have returned to the top of the game in both the Premier League and Europe. After falling short of the major prize, almost £200 million was spent on acquisitions to help strengthen the squad for a second drive.

For Spurs, new head coach Ange Postecoglou has wowed fans with his results, exciting football, and personality. So far, the games have gone in their favour, with four wins and one draw, giving them 13 points out of a potential 15.

The Gunners have the same number of points as Chelsea, keeping them in contention for the title with many games remaining. The north London derby will most certainly be the biggest challenge of the new season for both teams, with plenty of tension in the build-up.

However, there has been some controversy when both Son Heung-Min and Bukayo Saka were seen meeting on Monday evening. The couple wore unusual clothes at Burberry SS24, a fashion display in London that will continue the entire week.

A video showed them both talking something, but it was a sighting that enraged both groups of fans, especially with the derby approaching.
