Real Betis are concerned that they will be unable to retain Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca next season due to his’very high’ purchase clause.
Mucho Deporte reports that the player is ‘at risk’ of being sent back to Elland Road due to his high transfer clause.
They explain that Roca joined on loan from Leeds in the summer without a purchase option, which would become available only if the Whites were not promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season.
With 31 points, Daniel Farke‘s side is currently third in the Championship, putting them in line for a Championship play-off spot and promotion that way.
If they do not go up, Roca may be loaned out again, but a permanent move to Betis will be difficult because Leeds offered them a’very high’ purchase clause.
Getting Roca would cost ‘a good amount of money,’ and Betis aren’t exactly flush with cash at the moment.
They’d love to keep the Spaniard because he’s having a fantastic season and is well integrated into the team under Manuel Pellegrini, but that’s ‘at risk’ right now.
